Today we want to share a comment from Ilya Smirnov, head of AI & ML at Usetech. He will talk about the state of AI in the world and what fields have been affected by AI.
Artificial Intelligence is a fairly young science. Its emergence correlates with the development of computer technology. Since the 1950s, we have already had several major technological leaps, and the more capabilities computers have, the more sophisticated artificial intelligence algorithms people are able to create.
Computer vision technology has also achieved dizzying results. It is literally a boom of the last 5 years, when the quality of object recognition in photos has exceeded human capabilities.
Machine translation technology — everything that has to do with word processing in general — has advanced a lot. That’s probably been true ever since Google introduced Word2vec, the ability to code words with numbers, each with some property. Then came voice assistants, the first being Apple’s Siri. Obviously, the whole world has been living in the world of technology for a long time, and over the years, we are encountering more and more AI.
What areas of life have not yet been affected by AI? Artificial intelligence has probably not penetrated only human relationships and learning.
